Lev worked with me and my colleagues at Digify Africa to develop our innovative Dinaledi social media moderation project for Standard Bank, which has recently gone into its second year of operation. The project was driven and developed by Lev from VML's side, and really shows the ability of brands to create social impact while addressing their bottom line (in this case, to improve brand love and customer sentiment through interaction with customers on social channels). Lev is an innovator and problem-solver driven by purpose, and we have always hugely appreciated how his passion and integrity have helped keep this collaboration focused on its north star of driving impact. It's been a refreshing pleasure to work with someone so dynamic and adaptable, and we will miss him in this particular role... but hope we can work together again in the future!

I worked closely with Lev on what was the biggest technical project that Nando's had undertaken for some years. One of Lev's standout attributes was having the rare balance of being both project and technically minded. Securing a project lead that understood the complex, and often ambiguous, nature of our technical environment was no easy task. Matching this skill set with Lev's genuine passion towards a project will be difficult to find.

Our team worked with Levon on a number of projects over a period of about a year. Lev and I worked on the Standard Bank Personal and Business Banking Social Media team and he has been instrumental in helping us scope, resource and deliver a model for imbedded social media teams. I've had the pleasure of working with Lev on various projects over the past 8 years. This included selling in ground-breaking projects such as bookly, which Lev conceptualised and created, to my various clients. bookly was a Mxit-based literacy app that provided thousands of free books to learners across Africa, as well as a place where authors could publish their own work. Lev’s business acumen is beyond compare – he has the ability to quickly assess and understand our client’s market situation and create models and methods that suit their needs whilst equally working within the agency. Lev was also instrumental in driving transformation by being part of the team who established, in partnership with Digify SA, the Dinaledi team – an engagement moderation team for Standard Bank focusing on improving social engagement via human conversations. This project creates jobs and digital training for South Africa's youth, helping to place them in agencies and corporates once they have work experience in the program.
